ABOUT US

Celebrating 38 years in the same location on Forest Hill Boulevard, the Newport Diner is open daily for breakfast and lunch, and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for dinner. We feature a classic menu of hearty (and healthy) meals in a family friendly atmosphere with a nautical flare and a touch of New England.

Historically, bars, diners, pubs and restaurants have been places where the community can gather for food and fellowship. We're honored to carry on that tradition here at the Newport. We hope you enjoy our hospitality.

HISTORY

Every place has a backstory, and the Newport Diner is no exception. It was founded in 1988 as the Newport Cafe by a fellow named Bob, who - we're told - was originally from Newport, Rhode Island (hence the name). The restaurant was acquired by Fritz in 2018.

Somewhere along the way, the Newport Cafe became the Newport Diner.

In 2025, we discovered - and bought - the diner. Although we worked in the food service industry a few decades ago, and have a lot of friends in the business, this is our first foray into ownership. Why now, you ask? Well, some time back, we had this idea of owning a bar in Key West. Now that we're a little older, and a little wiser, a diner in our neighborhood - the West Palm Beach area - seemed like a better idea.
